3. More Days Off

Around 77% of employees in the USA are given some vacation time, but there’s no legal requirement to give workers days off at all.

In the private sector, people who have been on the job for 10 years may be given 17 days of paid leave annually, which is significantly lesser than what European countries give—around 25 days off per year.
On average, local government employees have 9.9 more paid leaves than people working in the private sector.

4. Retirement Benefits

Federal employees can retire earlier than those working in private sectors. Moreover, private employees have to set up retirement plans themselves, while federal employees receive them as part of their package.
Government employees are either offered the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) or Civil Services Retirement System (CSRS). Both of these plans provide annuity and health benefits to retired employees.
